Gender Cabinet Secretary Sicily Kariuki is expected to attend a forum on the one-third gender rule, which Kenya has tried to resolve for four years.
The constitution requires that at least a third of every appointive or elective posts in government be of a different gender.
While the Cabinet has achieved this, it has been problematic for elective posts. So far, there are just 19 per cent women in Parliament, the lowest in the East African Community, excluding South Sudan which has yet to ratify entry into the Community.
The CS will meet with stakeholders at the Stanley on Wednesday.
The government will also be launching an Asthma Care Improvement Project at Mama Lucy Hospital in Nairobi, in a bid to assist those with this condition.
In another event, health specialists will meet with journalists to discuss ways of improving reporting on issues of maternal health. The event at Nairobi’s Serena Hotel will be among the signature happenings in the city.
Breastfeeding, post-natal care and other aspects of health relating to mother and child welfare are likely to be discussed.
At the same time, Education cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i is due to flag off various high school teams at Jogoo House. The schools will be taking part in regional ball games
