Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko yesterday said he will easily trounce his opponents in the Nairobi governor contest to become the next city boss.
Speaking at a city hotel, he said he has what it takes to be the next governor and has laid out strategies to win the election.
His goal is to serve all residents equally, without favour or tribalism, and he will ensure essential services reach every resident, Sonko said.
"I am a servant of everybody regardless of tribe or race. I am appealing to all city residents to know that I am here to serve them. They have tried me as their senator and they have seen how I have fought for them. If I become the next governor, they will be better of than they are today," he said.
Others who have expressed interest in running for governor are incumbent Evans Kidero, Water CS Eugene Wamalwa, former Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru, Dagoretti South MP Denis Waweru and nominated MP Johnson Sakaja.
