Former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar has refuted claims he is finished politically after ditching NASA for Jubilee.
Omar on Friday said he received many text messages from politicians in Kisumu and Siaya telling him he is finished politically after ditching Raila Odinga for Uhuru Kenyatta.
“I am not finished politically. This is not Kisumu. This is Mombasa,” Omar said at a consultative meeting with elders from Mombasa county during a luncheon at Jubilee Hall.
The politician lashed out at critics calling him a mole, saying it is only God who gives leadership and directs his people.
“We believe in God. What God will give me, even if 20 Railas are against it, they will not deny me what God has planned for me,” said Omar.
He said his joining Jubilee has hurt many people because they recognise him as a big asset.
Omar said he ditched Raila because their objectives have shifted from 2007 when he was a die-hard supporter.
He criticised the NASA leader saying with him "anything goes", while turning a blind eye to corruption, hooliganism and deals involving his lieutenants.
The former Senator, who has already set his eyes on the Mombasa governor seat in 2022 on a Jubilee ticket, said he joined the President ruling party because they listened to him.
He revealed that he gave four conditions for him to join the ruling party.
These include Mombasa being given a bigger stake in the management of the county’s education sector.
“Our standard of education is very low. We cannot compete with others the countryside."
The second condition is the management of the blue economy, where Mombasa residents should be given more opportunities in the operations of the Mombasa port.
Omar said he also asked the Jubilee administration to ensure Mombasa gets more tools to fight the drugs menace in the county.
There is an estimated 60,000 drug addicts in Mombasa.

He also revealed he asked for appointment of Mombasa people in all sectors that affect the county.
“If they do for us this, we will support them, if they don’t we shall look for other people,” said Omar.
He said the October 26 repeat presidential election will go on as planned and no one can disrupt it.
“Wake up early that day and go and vote if you want to vote. If you don’t want stay at home,” said Omar.
He noted it is foolhardy to try and stop an election using stones.
“Raila thought his withdrawal will throw the country into a constitutional crisis, but Justice Mativo gave a ruling the next day that threw their plans into disarray,” said Omar.
The High Court ruled that Thirdway Alliance presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot be included in the ballot papers a day after Raila withdrew from the repeat presidential race.
The IEBC had initially said only Uhuru and Raila will participate in the repeat polls.
The former Senator said he will change the anti-Kikuyu vibe that dominates politics in the country.
This, he said, is what kills Kenyan politics.
“Kenyan politics is based on very heavy anti-Kikuyu sentiments,” he noted.
He said he will lead in addressing this head on and urged other politicians, especially those inn Jubilee top do the same.
“I am going to change these sentiments,” said Omar.
He said critics said he has joined ‘Uthamaki’ after joining Jubilee forgetting Jubilee is not about a particular community.
